Anne Morgan talking on the vidlink with her son John Morgan.JOHN(continued, over vidlink).. Yesterday, Ms. Coleson gave us a really big English test--MORGANDid you study?JOHN(ÒYouÕve asked me that a million times beforeÓ)Yes, Mom. Anyway, I thought that I bombed it. But it turns out that she graded on a curve based on my grade.MORGAN(motherly pride)Honey thatÕs great! IÕve always said you could do better in that cl--Suddenly, everything starts shaking. In the background we see and hear things fall to the floor and we hear glass objects shatter. The vidlink starts jumping in and out of static.JOHN(panicky)Mom.. Mom (static)WhatÕs --ning?The vidlink suddenly goes into complete static, then is replaced by a UEO symbol and the message "Signal Lost." Morgan attempts to regain the contact but fails. She slams her fist on the consoleMORGANDammit!!The intercom comes alive.TRUEMAN(over com)General quarters, General quarters! All hands to battle stations.Morgan hesitates for a moment, contemplating whether to go or stay and try to reestablish a signal with her son. She swears under her breath and leaves, slamming the hatch behind her.CUT TO BRIDGEAll senior staff save Morgan, Commander Ed Taylor, and Dr. Meredith Burke, are present and at their stations. Captain Lucas Wolenczak walks in and approaches Commander Jessie Matthews, who is in command.WOLENCZAKReport, Commander.MATTHEWSWell, sir, and keep in mind I would believe this myself if I didn't see it, but a big flying saucer just appeared over us.WOLENCZAK(with suspicious surprise)What? Put it on the main screen.PERCELLAye, sir.On the main screen we see a ventricle view of the "flying saucer".CUT TO TIGHT ON WOLENCZAK'S FACEWOLENCZAK(barely above a whisper)No, not again...FLASH/CUT TO FLASHBACKSA brief montage of Wolenczak's memories of the events in ":Splashdown" as the finally come flooding back to him after 20 years:seaQuest II being lifted out of the ocean. The crew's first view of Hyperion from space. Tobias LeConte coming aboard. Scott Keller's "execution." Tobias revealed as an impostor. Finding Keller alive.FLASH/CUT TO BRIDGEAll is as before.WOLENCZAK(quietly)I remember...(louder)I remember.(to Reede)Mr. Reede, get us outta here.REEDEAye, sir.Reede punches in a few commands, attempting to comply with Wolenczak's order. The helm suddenly goes dark.REEDENegative helm control, sir. We're heading to the bottom.WOLENCZAK(quietly)Not for long. Mister Reede, not for long.He turns to Percell.WOLENCZAKChief, retract the WSKRS.(turns to Trueman)Trueman, put me on ship-wide.Trueman press a button and nods to him.WOLENCZAKAttention all hands, this is the captain. Brace yourselves for...(beat as he considers his words).. unpredictable maneuvers.Suddenly, the ship lurches and it's apparent that it's rising.RILLERWhat the hell?CUT TO EXT. _seaQuest_ - CGI_seaQuest_ is surrounded by a bluish green field of light. It is slowly lifted out of the water and into the bottom of the "saucer."CUT TO EARTH ORBIT - CGIThe "saucer" emerges from the atmosphere. It picks up speed and blasts into space.CUT TO BRIDGEOn the screen, the stars speed by at an alarming speed. Everyone is watching intently. The stars slow and a water-covered planet appears.CUT TO TIGHT ON WOLENCZAK'S FACEWOLENCZAK(whispering)No, not again. They promised not again...FLASH/CUT TO FLASHBACKAnother montage of Wolenczak's returning memories of "Splashdown":The assault team prepping to go to the alien ship. Their launch docking. Finding the real Tobias. _seaQuest II_ battling the alien subs. The Stinger and Darwin leaving _seaQuest_. The team setting up explosives on the plasma core. _seaQuest_ going down. Bridger detonating the explosives.The last shots of Lucas and Dagwood.FLASH/CUT TO BRIDGEAll is as before.
