The Fate Generator

Fate or luck, take your pick. If you believe in predestination, you can leave now; we'll be rejecting Calvinism, rolling a few dice and assuming they're not loaded.

There are decisions we make everyday based on the whole of our human experience; our wisdom, history, personality and preferences. Some are obvious, like Should I step in front of the speeding truck? Others are less so, like What do I wear today?

If you believe, like I do, that even the littlest things can grow to have the largest consequences, then there's something to be said for the little things. The little decisions we make every day can sprout to affect the rest of our lives - even the ones where the best choice isn't always obvious. So I present to you the Fate Generator, a magic 8-ball that never waffles or hedges its bets.

Remember, this is not just some chintzy 'Decision Generator', so go out and do what it says. You'll thank yourself for it.

A few simple rules:
  1. Use the Fate Generator responsibly. Don't ask it stupid stuff. Like 'Should I ... study?'.
  2. Only you are responsible for your results.
  3. Liv Tyler is pretty.
Here's some (ENTIRELY fictional!) examples:
  • Should I ... have duct tape and sheet plastic on hand, just in case?
  • Should I ... continue believing Jennifer Garner and I are soul mates, now that I know she's happily married? (Update! Not anymore, as of 4/03!)
  • Should I ... believe that yelling "TROG DOR!!!" at random will still be funny the 42nd time?
  • Should I ... place any sort of confidence in this fate generator's fate algorithm?
  • Should I ... even be wasting my time looking at these silly web pages?
Your turn:
    Should I ... ?
