Newer Faster Better?

Against my better judgement I bought a new HP that will be here next week. Mostly because it was cheap. No - exactly because it was cheap. If Dell had the same specs for the same price there would be no contest.

Naturally this kind of purchase gets me thinking about what I think I want versus what I actually want. New toys are nice, but meaningful relationships and a little good conversation are better. (Though a little harder to come by in this town.)
